Join our compassionate team as a hospice companion volunteer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families at a critical point in their journey. As a hospice volunteer, you will provide emotional support, companionship and assistance to patients and their loved ones in their homes. Duties may include reading to patients, playing music, conversation, “sitting” to allow family/caregivers time to attend to their personal needs, after life support to family and loved ones.
Requirements:
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy
Reliable transportation and unencumbered driver’s license
Completion of hospice volunteer training (provided by Agency)
