Press Reviews It

The community website team will review your submission. If approved, they may edit your submission to fix any spelling and grammar errors, or get in touch with you for further questions. The media /press organizations you selected will receive a copy of your press release and they will determine timing, content, and next steps.  It is best to contact them directly with questions or additions.

View It!

Once approved, the press release may show up under the Announcements and News feature of your community website, and will be shared across social media. Press / media outlets will determine what will be included in their publications.

Submit an Announcement or Press Release

This feature makes it easier to share your news or announcements with local media outlets and press organizations.

Just select the press organizations you would like to contact, fill out the form, attach any relevant files, and then the news outlets you selected will view your press release for approval. Note: You won’t get a notification from them automatically.

Submitted Press Releases will also be reviewed by your community website team, and then they will contact you with a draft of the approved content that will be displayed on the website.

Examples of Announcements and News include, employment opportunities, naturalist insights, community project completion, grant or funding options, child successes, local business openings, art events, emergency situations, inspiring community stories, and news worthy local events.
