by | Oct 28, 2020 | Uncategorized

United Way of Southwestern Oregon launched our COVID-19 emergency relief fundraising effort in March 2020. Thanks to generous donations from Advanced Health, AllCare Health, Dutch Bros Foundation, The Ford Family Foundation, Oregon Community Foundation, Wild Rivers Coast Alliance, and numerous local individuals, to date we have awarded $170,000 to 56 Coos and Curry County nonprofits and community organizations addressing food insecurity, domestic violence and child abuse prevention, mental and physical health, foster care, and our unhoused community. Awards have been used to purchase and/or deliver food for residents in need, purchase PPE for staff and clients, provide technology to allow continuance of service during COVID-19, and provide community support during this time of social isolation. A full list of the awardees to date can be found here.

The pandemic continues, and so does our fundraising! For information on how to donate to this fund and support our southern Oregon coastal community during this challenging time, visit United Way Relief Fund. Thank you for helping us LIVE UNITED.
