Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) program at North Bend Public Library PRESS RELEASE

At 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 10th, the North Bend Public Library is teaming up with South Coast Together to offer a workshop named Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): Building Self-Healing Communities.

The 1998 CDC/Kaiser study of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) led to new understandings of the links between abuse, neglect, and dysfunction in childhood and health outcomes including asthma, lowered immunity, heart disease, and elevated risks of cancer and early death. This program will focus on ACEs scores and the adverse effects on health and wellbeing.
