The Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area believes in making the world a better place by empowering women. Through the years we have proudly provided resources and support to women and children within our community and around the globe through service, advocacy events, scholarships, fundraising to improve the lives of women. Club members contribute their passion and energy as we continue to strive in fulfilling our mission unimpeded by the many challenges presented by today’s world. Zonta International is a global service organization of executives & professionals working together to advance the status of women at the global and local level through service & advocacy. Zonta International, its districts and its clubs are nonsectarian and nonpartisan.

The Club has supported and partnered with other local service organizations and programs such as:

  • Court Appointed Special Advocates
  • Salvation Army Bellringing

Zonta stands for women’s rights. We advocate for equality, education and an end to child marriage and gender-based violence. Zonta International Service Projects provide life changing opportunities around the globe to empower women and girls to improve their health, and to provide women with better economic and educational opportunities.  Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world no woman lives in fear of violence.

Coos Bay Area Zonta Service Foundation is a 501©(3) organization.

Over $1 Million dollars has been raised and distributed by our club and foundation to support global and local projects.
