Bob Belloni Ranch, Inc. is a private non-profit agency located in Coos Bay, Oregon. We have been providing residential treatment and community-based services for adolescents who need the skilled, optimistic guidance, training and opportunity of a community-based treatment program since 1971. Belloni Ranch, Inc. is licensed by the State of Oregon and a proud member of the Oregon Alliance.
We operate three programs: Belloni Boys Ranch, the DHS Independent Living Program for Coos and Curry Counties, and BBR Counseling Services (community based outpatient mental health clinic).
The Bob Belloni Boys Ranch is a residential treatment program for boys, ages 13-20, who demonstrate a persistent pattern of criminal behavior. The boys in our program typically have a history of family conflict, problems with chronic delinquency, substance abuse, and poor school performance. We accept youth from all parts of the state, with priority given to residents on the Southern Oregon Coast. The program includes individual, family, and group counseling as well as individual and group skills training.
Most youth stay an average of 12 to 18 months before graduating from the program and returning to home, foster care, or other community living. Our goal is to help youth develop the skills and behaviors that they need to return to their communities and become productive law-abiding citizens.
The Independent Living Program of Bob Belloni Ranch provides community-based independent living skill development for current and former permanent foster youth under the supervision of the Oregon Department of Human Services in Coos and Curry Counties. Permanent foster youth remain with their foster families, and continue with public school. Services provided are individualized, culturally, and gender-appropriate and provided in accordance with development readiness and stages of independence.
Our Independent Living program provides a life-skills assessment to determine the life skill training needs and transition readiness of each youth referred, and builds a written comprehensive transition master plan with quarterly updates to determine goals, steps, and services needed for transition from the foster care system to independence. Emphasis during service delivery focuses on the youth’s accomplishments, needs, and progression towards determined independence goals.
BBR Counseling provides trauma-informed and resilience-focused assessment protocols and interventions to heal trauma in children, teens and families, although anyone is welcome to avail of our mental health services. Our clinic is able to provide HIPAA compliant telehealth services. Our center includes affordable individual, family, telehealth, and group therapy in addition to classes offering continuing education for professionals. We utilize innovative services such as sand tray therapy and a state-of-the-art relaxation room for alternative treatment using healing light and sounds. BBR Counseling Services specializes in designing, developing, and operating a full continuum of mental health care in the community, whereby people can receive the most clinically appropriate treatment based on their individual needs and strengths.
BBR Counseling Services accepts most major private health insurance plans, Medicaid(OHP), and a sliding fee scale for those who need it. With so many confusing and unique struggles in our community, including many who have a need for an array of mental health services, we believe we can offer hope, resources, and healthy strategies to living a life of wellness.
